Founded in 1982, Affordable Housing Societies has been dedicated to the ongoing development, ownership, and management of rental housing tailored to serve low- and moderate-income families, seniors, as well as singles and couples.

Nestled in the heart of Coquitlam’s Lafarge Lake area, the distinguished Robert Nicklin Place stands out as our latest flagship development. Boasting a total of 164 thoughtfully designed suites, this project is a collaborative effort between Affordable Housing Societies, BC Housing, and CHMC.

Anticipated for completion in late 2023, Robert Nicklin Place will feature a range of one, two, and three-bedroom suites, all made available for rent through the combined efforts of BC Housing and Affordable Housing Societies.

Who is Robert Nicklin?

Born in Wynyard, Saskatchewan, Robert (Bob) Nicklin served as the CEO of Affordable Housing Societies for 24 years. Before his sudden passing, Bob led the organization’s growth and profoundly influenced the social housing sector in BC. In honor of his enduring legacy, this essential six-story development proudly carries the name of Robert Nicklin.
